We Ate It: Chispas

On the bag of Chispas, it says "chicharrones" which is a dish made with fried pork rinds. I don't eat pigskins, or any kind of meat, but nowhere on the package does it say that is what is in this bag of Latin-style wheat snacks.

Much like Cheetos, Chispas have a puffed, crispy texture and is flavored with seasonings. The "Chile y Limon" version is spicy with a hint of lime. Although I would have liked a different flavor, the crispy texture made up for it and I find myself digging into the bag for more when I ignore the fact that it resembles pigskins.
